Opportunity
Suncoast Building Design, a budding and passionate building design company, sought to redefine their brand identity and online presence to better reflect their core values and the unique blend of city and coastal design that sets them apart. The founders, Stephen Bryan and Matthew Morelli, each hailing from different parts of Australia, aimed to harmonise city and coast influences in their work, emphasising modern contemporary design infused with sustainable passive design techniques. Their primary focus is on enhancing liveability and personal interaction within dwellings.
Our solution
Our approach to rebranding Suncoast Building Design centred on crafting a distinctive logo that captured the essence of their vision. The result is a logo that artfully balances the ideals of city and coastal living. We achieved this by combining just two unique shapes, each carrying a specific significance. The rectangle's clean lines symbolise the urban environment, while the tapered shape, reminiscent of a boat's top or a sail, evokes the gentle curves of coastal living.
The interaction between these shapes forms a captivating sunburst, which gracefully reveals the silhouette of a home in its negative space. This half sunburst, appearing as if rising over the ocean, serves as a nod to the company's name - "Suncoast" - and signifies a new day's potential. By harnessing the symbolism of a sunrise, the logo effectively communicates Suncoast Building Design's role as a facilitator of fresh beginnings, helping customers realise their dream homes.

In addition to the new logo, we designed a website that serves as a refined and elegant platform to showcase Suncoast Building Design's portfolio. It emphasises simplicity and functionality, with small, engaging interactions throughout the user journey. These subtle delights enhance the user's experience while browsing the site, ensuring a memorable and informative visit. The website's overall design mirrors the elegance and sophistication that Suncoast Building Design brings to their architectural creations.
